Cannabidiol (CBD)
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of 113 identified cannabinoids found in the Cannabis sativa plant. In the U.S. it is legally derived from industrial hemp plants with a THC delta-9 level of 0.3% or less. CBD is used in a variety of cosmetic products. It is also an active ingredient in the prescription medication Epidiolex, which was approved in 2018 by the U.S. FDA for the treatment of seizures related to two rare forms of epilepsy.
Cannabinoid
Cannabinoids are compounds that are uniquely found in cannabis plants. These include CBD, CBN, CBG, CBC and THC, among others. Cannabis contains at least 144 different cannabinoids.
Entourage Effect
The entourage effect is a hypothesis which suggests that the compounds found in cannabis work more effectively together than when isolated.
Full Spectrum CBD Oil
Full Spectrum CBD Oil contains high concentrations of CBD along with other cannabinoids and terpenes found in hemp. Like hemp oil, it contains a full spectrum of the ingredients found it hemp, however it has been extracted using a process that produces a much higher concentration of CBD.
Terpenes
Terpenes and terpenoids are the main ingredients found in the essential oils of many types of plants and flowers. Cannabis contains over 100 different terpenes which may vary depending on the strain of cannabis.
